Since opening the doors in 2008, the cafe has worked directly with the Lalor Park Community to create its care arm.
By providing opportunities for meaningful social engagement across our programs, events and cafe environment, Common Groundz has positioned itself as a supportive social hub in the community. Served by a diverse group of volunteers, the cafe prides itself as being a place where friendships are made and people of all backgrounds, faiths and abilities are welcome and involved.

The Cafe is a social initiative of Pathways Community Church. Upon the cafe opening its doors in 2008 it has committed to supporting the disadvantaged and created a space where community members can flourish.

Common Groundz Cafe was a great experience. The staff are very friendly and helpful, I learned so much; cleaning, cooking, serving and making coffees. I would highly recommend. Father - 2 of the children that had attended Monday child minding and Wednesday playgroup call in, he wanted to say thank you and let the team know that because of what we did for them they were now more confident and are attending daycare and he was very grateful for all that was done for them whilst attending groups with Pathways
